Drop something small. We'll show you how far it can go.Paste works too, and so does a file you drag straight off the desktop — or several at once, for a batch. JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP and the HEIC an iPhone shoots open here; AVIF and TIFF open where this browser can read them (TIFF in Safari). Every one of them stays on this machine.

Where this falls down

  • Bigger is not clearer.A soft or blurred picture at 150% is a larger soft picture. For a cleaner result at the same size, try the quality page's same-size option.
  • Percent is relative to the picture you opened. If the picture was already shrunk by a chat app, 200% of it is still smaller than the original was. Find the biggest copy you can before enlarging.

Questions people ask

What does 150% mean in pixels?
One and a half times each edge. An 800 × 600 picture at 150% is 1,200 × 900 — 2.25 times the pixel count. The panel shows both numbers, and the factor (150% = 1.5×), before you save.
Is a small enlargement better than a big one?
It is less speculative. At 110% almost every output pixel sits right beside a recorded one, so the result is very close to the original. At 300% two in every three pixels across are worked out. Small steps are where enlarging is nearly free.
Does this increase the file size in KB?
Usually, because there are more pixels to store — but by how much depends on the format and the picture. If what you actually need is a file over a portal's minimum KB, the file-size page does that directly and measures the saved bytes.
Is my photo sent anywhere?
No. It is resized inside this tab and saved by your browser.
